DESCRIPTION
A whimsical good luck 10K rose gold Chinese Export pendant and brooch featuring an octagon-shaped spider with web and showcasing a large natural Jadeite Jade cabochon. Circa 1911 to 1948. Featuring a spider body made out of a translucent mottled green natural untreated Jadeite Jade cabochon measuring a sizable 17.37 by 12.28 mm. Accented by four small round Jadeite Jades and five pink glass. The octagon-shaped spider web is made of very fine rose gold wires. Spiders and their webs bring good omen, and this custom is widely believed to have originated from the Han dynasty. Comes with bail for pendant and pin for brooch. Measures 2” across. Unmarked, testing at 10K gold. In overall very good condition.
