Excelsior Works Aug. Heine Catalog/book illustrated price list 1886

Up for sale is an "1886 Excelsior Works" catalog. The title page reads "Excelsior Works - Aug. Heine Proprietor - Silver Creek, NY - Patentee & Manufacturer of the Silver Creek Centrifugal Reel, Excelsior Iron Clad Bran Duster and other Milling Specialties". This 71 page memorandum book has a nice heavy fabric covering over both the front and back covers - the front being de-bossed (identifying the piece). The initial pages begin with illustrations of the bran duster with information regarding its use, the centrifugal reel, the flour bolt, then the double and single scalper. The next several pages were blank pages but someone made notes on them. They have a "Memorandum" header. The final pages illustrate and describe a grain separator, automatic magnetic separator, flour packer, smut machine, smut & separating machine, brush machine and testing sieve. The last page illustrates the logos of the "Excelsior Anchor Bolting Cloth" with an explanation on the inside back cover regarding the sale of that aspect of the business to "Messrs. Huntley & Hammond...". The piece measures approx. 5 7/8" x 3 5/16" and is in generally excellent condition. Please view the pictures carefully as they are part of the description.
