Vintage Bi-fold Leather Passport Travel Portfolio
Condition is "Pre-owned" with signs of wear
This beautiful vintage bi-fold Loewe Spain Passport / Travel Portfolio is made of a luxurious, soft brown leather (soft like butter!) with crescent brass-toned hardware to hold its strap with beige/tan stitching, and brown synthetic lining.
Closed, the dimensions are: 8-1/2” high and 5-3/4” wide (plus 1/8” at the closed “strap” or “tongue”). The open strap/tongue is 4-3/4” long (tapered) and 1-1/16” wide and, on the inside, is impressed: LOEWE 1846
The portfolio opens to reveal multiple slots:
Upper slots:
Top (open) slot: 11-1/2” wide by 8-1/4” deep;
Lower (open) slot: 11” wide by 8” deep;
Left side (horizontal):
DOCUMENTACION (Documents) slot measures 4-7/8” wide by 6-1/16” deep;
VARIOS (Various) slot measures 4-7/8” wide by 3-1/2” deep;
Left side (vertical) slot measures 7-3/8” high by 4-7/8” wide;
Right side (horizontal):
PASAPORTE (Passport) slot measures 4-7/8” wide by 6-1/16” deep;
SEGURO (Insurance) slot measures 4-7/8” wide by 3-1/2” deep;
Right side (vertical) slot measures 7-3/8” high by 4-7/8” wide;
The crescent-shaped brass-toned hardware on the front is 1-9/16” high by 3/4” wide (full arc), with the metal itself 3/16” wide. The opening provided at the hardware is 1-1/4” high.
SIGNS OF WEAR:
FRONT:
The leather on the front of the portfolio has minor scuffs, scratches and discoloration. The brass crescent shows some abrasions. (See photos.)
BACK:
The leather on the back of the portfolio shows more obvious signs of wear: discoloration and staining, dark spots and light spots. Also, minuscule bumps from pinholes near the top-center of the back. (See photos.)
INSIDE:
The leather on the inside of the portfolio has minor scratches, scuffs and discoloration. Also, minuscule bumps from pinholes near the top-center on the right side. (See photos.) At the inner strap, the stitching is slightly frayed and there is another pinhole to the left of the stitching.
