Lot (17) Air Race Classic Programs 1983-2013 Women’s Aviation WASP Pilot Signed

This lot includes a total of sixteen different yearly programs for the women’s only Air Race Classic and one 1986 “Reflections” program for the 10-year anniversary. These come from the estate of Marge Thayer, four-time winner of the Air Race Classic. Some of the programs have her name on the cover or inside. Included in the programs are also race results for 1989, 1990, and 2013. Overall, they show typical use and storage wear for vintage programs. Some of the earlier ones have spotting along the top edge. The years included are: 1983, 1985, 1986, 1986 Reflections, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2013.
The 1986 program is extra special, as it includes many signatures from participants in that year’s Classic. I didn’t research all of the names, but the list below includes those with notable search results.

Claire Walters- won Powder Puff Derby in 1951, opened flight school that ran for 27 years, founded Palms to Pines Air Race
