Invitation to a reception held at the School on 29th June 1934, to honour the memories of Manson and Ross. The collaboration between Sir Patrick Manson and Sir Reginald Ross resulted in huge progress on the Malaria discovery and the establishment of the Ross Institute at The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine began the process of Malaria control we have today. Ross studied Malaria in India and won the Nobel Prize in 1902. Excellent research article by Joseph Rowton of The University of Aberdeen published in 2009. Only a selection of the pages scanned. The invitation was sent to Sir Bahadur Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana who was the first Nepalese Envoy to London, arriving in the United Kingdom in 1934. Sir Bahadur was a member of the Rana dynasty which ruled The Kingdom of Nepal from 1846 until 1951. AE021_053
