In compiling this book the editors collected more than 2,000 brochures, catalogs and pamphlets from a very wide range of companies and events in Japan. The final selection, made on the basis of design excellence and effectiveness of communication, compromises 800 pieces of artwork from 250 of these brochures. The book is organized along rough industrial classification: automobiles, audio goods, cosmetics, and so on. This is the first such collection ever published in Japan.
